School Council Visits the Houses of Parliament
Yesterday, our incredible School Council had the amazing opportunity to visit the Houses of Parliament in London—and what a day it was!
During their guided tour, the children explored both the House of Commons and the House of Lords, soaking up the history and grandeur of our nation's democracy. They represented Dosthill Primary with pride, earning glowing praise from both the coach driver and Parliament staff for their thoughtful questions, confident answers, and impeccable behaviour.
A special highlight was reuniting with Sarah Edwards MP, who kindly arranged our visit, secured a space for us, and even took the time to meet with the children again during the tour. A huge thank you to Sarah for making this unforgettable experience possible!
After the tour, the group enjoyed a relaxing lunch in St. James' Park, surrounded by pelicans, a heron, and curious geese 🦢—before heading off to admire the iconic Buckingham Palace.
It was a truly magical and memorable day for all involved!
