Last week, Year 5 began their exciting new science unit on reversible and irreversible changes. This week, they explored the difference between mixtures and solutions, learning to identify whether a substance is soluble or insoluble.

In a hands-on lesson, the children used sieving and filtering techniques to separate different mixtures. They demonstrated great scientific thinking and curiosity as they discussed their observations and results.
