Year 4 Explore the Meaning of Christingle at St Paul’s Church

As part of their R.E. enquiry into what Christians believe to be the most significant part of the Nativity story, Year 4 have been learning about the symbolism within a Christingle. To deepen their understanding, the children visited St Paul’s Church, where they discovered what each part of the Christingle represents.
After the explanation, pupils created their own Christingles, reflecting on the meaning behind each element. The visit was made even more special by listening to the choir perform Away in a Manger and joining in with festive songs together. It was a wonderful experience that combined learning with celebration.
