We're absolutely delighted to announce that Mrs Keay, our current Deputy Head, will be assuming the role of Headteacher from September!
Dear Parents and carers,
Following my letter of the 19th April informing you that I will be leaving Dosthill Primary Academy as Headteacher at the end of the academic year, it is my absolute delight to inform you that Mrs Keay, our current Deputy Head, will be assuming the role of Headteacher from September.
Mrs Keay has been appointed to the post by the Trust Board of the Fierté MAT. I can think of no one better to carry the school forward on the next part of its journey; I am very much looking forward to continuing to work with Mrs Keay too in my new role for the Trust.
Mrs Keay rightly enjoys the highest regard of staff, Governors, parents and children. She will offer the school stability ensuring that the improvements made to date are sustained and built on. The strong ethos which places children at the heart of all that we do will be safe in Mrs Keay’s hands; her commitment to the children is unquestionable. Furthermore, she will also bring her own ideas and flair to a role I know she is extremely excited about undertaking.
The Deputy Head role within the school is going to be replaced by a Senior Assistant Head post maintaining the strength of the current Senior Leadership Team. Applications for this have been received and an appointment will be made shortly; we will of course keep you informed of who is selected as soon as we are able to.
There is a great deal to be excited about for the future of the school and I trust you will feel reassured by the carefully considered decisions being made in the very best interests of the children. Yours sincerely, Hand, T (Mr) Headteacher
